How to support

Adopt a village:

If you are in the textile business or a related field, adopt a village to work with and create beautiful textiles. This can be good for your work, and also provide livelihood to many weavers. You can adopt a village and help with its infrastructure through development work, so it is better able to cope with modern demands and thereby enjoy better livelihood opportunities.

Bestseller
Bestseller Company, based in Denmark, with branches in 40 countries, is one of the largest family-owned cloth companies in northern Europe. When they came across an international news report in 2006 about the weavers’ community in Varanasi suffering due to competition from China, they decided to place an order for 13,000 silk scarves which could be given as New Year’s gifts for their employees. Upasana Design Studio executed the project, and once that order was completed, decided to continue working with the artisans’ community to develop and encourage this craft.
